The Commuter- (BA Design)

The Commuter celebrates movement with purpose, designed for the woman in constant motion, navigating the rhythm of the city with elegance and ease. Where The Flaneur drifts, The Commuter advances: poised, adaptable, and unshaken by pace. She carries her world with her, transforming effortlessly as the day unfolds.

This design reimagines versatility as luxury. The four-piece skirt ensemble, an under-skirt, an over-skirt, and two detachable side flounces, can be mixed and reconfigured into five distinct looks, adapting to the needs and moods of its wearer. Snap-fastened flounces add sculptural volume or can be removed for a refined silhouette, creating a dialogue between structure and fluidity.

Crafted with a focus on textural depth and modular design, The Commuter brings together innovation and craft in equal measure. The complementary top, detailed with hand-applied fabric swirls, adds a touch of tactility that echoes the layered interplay of the skirt. Together, the look becomes a portrait of contemporary femininity, versatile, composed, and forward-moving, embodying fashion as both art and function for the modern woman on the go.
