The birthday dress tradition.
A personal archive, year by year…
On my twenty-third birthday, I made myself a dress, something that felt completely my own.
Each year since, I’ve continued the tradition, crafting a new dress to celebrate another chapter. These pieces mark a moment in time, holding the story of a year, stitched with reflection, celebration, and love for the craft that continues to shape who I am.
They journal where I was creatively, what I was dreaming of, what beauty meant to me then. Dresses that are small markers of my growth, as a woman, as a designer, and as someone who finds joy in the act of creating beauty by hand.
It’s become more than a tradition; it’s a way of honouring growth, creativity, and the joy of making something just for me!
